AS Monaco's promising defensive midfielder Aurélien Tchouameni, on whom AC Milan reportedly had strong interest before he ended up joining the Ligue 1 side, is currently running the show in his homeland.
According to the latest informations provided by Calciomercato, Italian giants,including Milan, did not feel like investing 15 million euros on the French wonderkid two years ago when he used to play for his parental club Girondins de Bordeaux.
Actually, Tchouameni is shining with Monaco during the current campaign, and is even labeled in his home country as the natural heir of France International Ngolo Kanté, with the 21-year-old being one of the best ball recovers in the biggest 5 European leagues (27 tackles won and 11 interceptions in 2021) despite his young age.
Now, the promising youngster would not cost anywhere near that aforementioned price tag, as the French club would not estimate him for less than €35-40M should an European giant wants to secure his services, as reported by the same source.
