The former AC Milan legendary defender, Nesta, commented, "Easier for Milan to face Real Madrid than Monza? I don’t understand. I think it’s purely a mental factor. We don’t always mark man-to-man, it’s not our philosophy."
The retired centre-back, known for his keen attention to tactical dynamics, expressed his skepticism about Fonseca's comparison, implying he did not agree with this perspective.
