Rafael Leao spoke to the microphones of Milan TV after the Rossoneri's 2-1 victory against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League match at the San Siro.
On Youssouf Fofana:
"A very important player, with whom I feel very comfortable. He immediately understands my movements in open play. The ball was perfect, I just had to control it and score. The important thing is the victory; we suffered but deserved it."
On the match, Leao said:
"We expected a match like this; the coach had already told us how they play. They defend all together, there's no space in the middle, and they always try to score against us on the counterattack. In the second half, we weren't focused, but I'm happy because we kept looking for the goal until the end, and we made it."
On the standings:
"We know these matches are not easy, and today we made it more complicated for ourselves. Top 8? It's clear that we want to be there with the best in Europe. We want to show that Milan wants to win."
