Sandro Sabatini, journalist, in his editorial for Radio Cusano Campus, discusses the different treatment from fans and critics towards Juventus coach Thiago Motta and Milan's tactician Paulo Fonseca.

Here’s his take:

“I have nothing against Thiago Motta or Fonseca. But maybe I have something against both of them. In short, I treat them equally. And I can’t stand hearing, reading, or seeing that Thiago Motta is improving and Fonseca is not. That Thiago Motta has the team on his side, and Fonseca doesn’t. That Thiago Motta has a strong club backing him, and Fonseca doesn’t. That Thiago Motta is better than Allegri in his second stint’s first year, while Pioli, in his first year, how was he compared to Fonseca? Bologna, Thiago Motta’s previous team, is getting the same points as last year. And if we check Lille, Fonseca’s former team, they are also getting the same points as last year: fourth place in the standings.

The journalist said the following about Juventus' Motta and Milan's Fonseca as well:

"There’s the excuse of injuries for Juventus, but excuse me, what about Pulisic and Loftus-Cheek for the Rossoneri? And then people say, ‘Oh, but Thiago Motta promotes young players.’ Excuse me, but isn’t Fonseca also promoting Jimenez, Liberali, and especially Camarda? I think Juventus and Milan are having the same kind of season if you combine the league, Champions League, and Coppa Italia. And yet, with Thiago Motta, people say we need to give him time, he deserves three years, and then we’ll evaluate. While with Fonseca, people say to fire him immediately, he should be sacked. Why? I don’t agree with this somewhat biased interpretation of these two coaches, who are fundamentally delivering similar performances at the moment.”
