Chief among them, of course, is ensuring qualification for the next Champions League, which is essential for both sporting and financial reasons.

Cardinale aims to win the first trophy under his management, and perhaps it could come as early as the start of 2025, when Milan will participate in the Final Four of the Italian Super Cup (on January 3, the Rossoneri will face Juventus in the semifinal, while the final, against either Inter or Atalanta, is scheduled for January 6). Milan are also in the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia, another competition they can aim to win, while triumphing in Serie A or the Champions League appears nearly impossible.
