Sergio Conceição spoke at the post-match press conference after a disappointing 2-0 loss against Juventus.
Here's what the AC Milan's head coach:
“The first step to winning a match is wanting it. We had a good first half and created a lot before the break. We were in the game, but in the second half, the Milan you saw came out. I take responsibility, but everyone needs to do a self-assessment; the right attitude is lacking. In two situations, we weren’t aggressive enough, and it’s up to me to make sure they stay alert, the responsibility is mine. But I told the boys that a self-awareness is needed, and at the base of it is the desire to win games."

Conceicao added:
"In the first half, we were disciplined, we came out with quality. In the second half, we lacked everything. Am I worried? Yes. I’m thinking about what I can do to change the environment, even inside the locker room, the atmosphere around the team. We need to do much more, we have other league games, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League. I told the boys, you can’t win one game and lose another, it’s not like that.”
On the transfer market, Conceicao said:
“This is a discussion I’ll have with the management. We talk every day. I have great respect for those who came on, the problem wasn’t there because they came on well. We can’t make excuses, we can’t run out of fuel. Tired of what? Obviously, I would like something in the market, and we’re discussing it."
Is it a mental problem? Conceicao replied:
"I’m the coach, and I need to change this. The work I’ll do is to find a solution so we don’t reach moments like these where I think it’s about technical or physical organization. Mission possible? Of course. I never throw in the towel. My health doesn’t benefit from it because I don’t sleep, but I’m here to work, and I get paid for that.”
