Arrigo Sacchi gave an interview to Gazzetta dello Sport in which he discussed Milan, the transfer market, and the task now facing Sergio Conceição.
Here are his thoughts:
"I would like to make it clear that what has been missing from Milan so far is style. So, it will be up to Conceição to give the team a playing style. It’s no easy task, but I believe he can do it."

Sacchi commented on the transfer market:
"I hope the players have been chosen by the coach, based on technical and human evaluations. If that's the case, then an important step has been made. Milan must be a protagonist in Serie A, the Champions League, and the Coppa Italia. It's only logical that the squad is large. And in attack, there will be more competition, which can do good for someone… A reference? Well, Leao needs to wake up. He can't afford to play well one game out of three anymore: consistency is a key quality in a champion’s repertoire. In this case, if he’s not performing, there’s someone else ready to step in. This means that for Conceição, there are more solutions, even from a tactical point of view. You can play with a two-striker pairing, with three forwards, or even with a very attacking 4-4-2."
On Santiago Giménez and Joao Félix, Sacchi said:
"I followed the Mexican in the Netherlands, but I want to see him deal with Italian football. He doesn't lack the numbers. Joao Félix is a great promise that hasn't been fulfilled so far. He has the technical skills. At Milan, in an environment that makes him feel important, he could find his real dimension."

On Sergio Conceição and the use of new resources:
"He defends with two lines of four and asks for pressing. He wants to take the initiative away from the opponent and doesn't accept being dominated. I think the abundance in attack can allow him a wise rotation. Energy must be managed, and having different elements can help with the turnover. If these elements are of a high level, like Milan's players, then the turnover will hardly be noticeable."
