Interviewed by Marca, former Milan player Alvaro Morata spoke about his brief experience at the Rossoneri, the reason behind his departure during last winter’s transfer market, and the feelings he is experiencing in Turkey at Galatasaray:
"I am very happy. I am living an experience that could have been different at first, but I encountered a wonderful country, an incredible club, and very friendly people. I love the life I have here and I’m very happy to have come."

Two transfers within a few months, one in the summer and one in the winter.
"Football circumstances. In the end, everyone has to think about themselves. It’s easy to give an opinion, but if everything goes well, next season I’ll be playing in the Champions League, and that’s something important for me. I wanted to continue competing at the highest European level, which is not easy."
Why did you leave Atlético Madrid? What motivated his decision? Morata commented:
“At that moment, it was what my body and mind were asking me. There are times when decisions are made at the right moments, more or less right, but in the end, I think if I look back, I realize that the fans had managed, in a sense, to understand me. After the Euros, people in Spain no longer saw me the same way, but these are decisions that are made. I went to Milan for Mr. (Fonseca), who showed me a lot of love, but after a few months, a project that seemed like one thing turned into something else for football itself. In the end, I wasn’t that comfortable because I had gone there to be with Fonseca," as relayed via Milannews.it.
