Milan and Inter are still waiting for a response on the "DocFap", the document submitted to the Municipality with a new project for the stadium in place of San Siro. Yesterday, as reported by Il Giornale's Milan edition, Mayor Beppe Sala also discussed this issue in the City Council, focusing primarily on the subject and certain aspects of the project. The mayor reiterated: "The Municipality will not pay the demolition costs of the Meazza. If they buy the stadium, then it's up to the clubs to decide whether they want to renovate it or partially demolish it."

Sala then continued:
"Regarding the decontamination costs, it’s negotiable. We don’t know what’s underneath, but we hope the decontamination won't be very significant because it’s not an area with a significant industrial history. I'm not very concerned."
The mayor also made some comments on the dossier presented by the clubs:
"Compared to the initial plans, the new stadium will have more than 70,000 seats, and the 50% green space requirement is being respected. Will part of the old structure be preserved? It's a compromise between the teams’ initial request and the superintendent’s requirements. We had also discussed this hypothesis with Minister of Culture Giuli, and the parties at the table were satisfied."
