During the usual episode of DAZN’s podcast Step on Football, Marco Parolo spoke about Milan, offering his personal prediction on the future of Sergio Conceição, tying it to the Rossoneri’s management structure:

"In my opinion, Conceição wants to stay. But in these last five matches, if he shows consistency with this change of formation, I think he has figured out how to take charge of the dressing room, how to make peace with players like Fofana and Pulisic. And if you remember, Fofana wasn’t untouchable at the start—now he is. He was in and out of the lineup because I think there was some friction at the beginning. He had clashes with Pulisic too, but now he’s understood how to find the right balance. Even Leao was in and out—now he’s in. He’s used the same starting XI four times in a row. For me, Conceição has Milan in his hands right now. He can have a strong end to the season and win the Coppa Italia. And if he wins the Coppa Italia, he can sit down and say: ‘Hi, I’m Conceição. This is who I am. I want a, b, c, d, e, f. Give me these.’ And Milan, as a club, would do well to listen to him and give him what he wants. Because right now, Milan is in such confusion that they don’t even know who to appoint as sporting director. Moncada, Furlani, Ibra all want to remain in control—and Conceição is the right man for them."
Parolo concluded:
"I'm saying it now: in my opinion, Conceição stays, Milan won't appoint a new sporting director, and the current ones will remain in charge. Milan has a squad capable of much more, and Conceição will get much more out of it."
