On the pages of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fabio Capello, former Rossoneri coach, commented like this on Milan's defeat in the Coppa Italia final:
"Bologna deserves the Cup, even if, to be honest, the match in Rome was not a good showcase for Italian football. I didn’t like the game; the Rossoblù found the winning spark with Dan Ndoye – an important player, as well as generous – but other times this season they had entertained me more. That’s normal, in a final everything becomes more complicated. But Bologna scored their goal, even without creating who knows what, and then defended it well. Instead, inevitably, the focus falls on Milan’s performance."

What can be said about Sergio Conceição’s team?
"Except for a few flashes from Rafa Leao in the first half, the Rossoneri did nothing, zero. In terms of real chances, Milan had one: at the start with that scramble between Beukema-Skorupski-Jovic. Then practically nothing. When they fell behind, Conceição tried to put as many attackers on the pitch as possible, but Italiano has learned well the lesson of the finals lost when he was coaching Fiorentina, and he closed down the spaces in defense, conceding very little to the opponent."
Capello added:
"With Leao disappearing, the only jolts came from Chukwueze at the end (could he have come in earlier? With hindsight...). Too little in a final that came after an undoubtedly disappointing season," as relayed via Milannews.it.
