Ruben Amorim is officially the new head coach of AC Milan, which will now try to complete its executive structure before beginning its transfer-market activity.
Amorim and the possible names for the defence:
While waiting for everything to take shape, Gazzetta.it has suggested a few names that could suit the Portuguese coach’s 3-4-2-1 playing style.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, at least one signing will be needed in the centre of a back three, and one possible name is Antonio Silva. He has already been linked with the Rossoneri in the past and is under contract with Benfica until 2027, although Milan would still need to assess the club’s demands.
An addition may also be required on the right side of central defence, especially if Tomori leaves. However, De Winter could also be promoted into that role, while Pavlovic is expected to occupy the left-centre position, as relayed via Milan Press.
In midfield and attack...
The two central midfielders could be Rabiot and Jashari, but if the Frenchman were to depart, Ugarte would be one to watch. On the right flank, Saelemaekers could feature, while someone may arrive on the left because Bartesaghi does not seem ideally suited to Amorim’s style of play. The perfect fit would be Maxi Araújo.
A centre-forward will be needed. In the attacking midfield positions behind the striker, Pulisic and Nkunku both appear well suited to the system, but another addition will also be required. Keep an eye on Uzun and Trincão.
