Carlo Pellegatti, speaking on his YouTube channel, commented on Milan’s current situation, as the club is expected in the coming days to appoint Igli Tare as the new sporting director:

"What’s missing for Igli Tare to sign? Furlani is traveling in the Middle East and will only return tomorrow. This has slowed things down. I imagine Tare wants clarity about his autonomy. Do you want to make it official? That way, he can speak with the coaches. Italiano, as Di Marzio says, is heading toward renewing with Bologna. Allegri is said to be close to Napoli, but he hasn’t signed yet. If the Milan alternative were there, he would consider it, but they’ll need to move quickly."
Pellegatti added:
"Are we waiting until Monday? It’s already very late. De Zerbi might stay at Marseille. What is Milan waiting for? The name Thiago Motta has also come up, but I’ve been told they never actually considered him. Milan must make a move. The problem with the Rossoneri is that they overthink. We’ve been waiting twelve weekends for the new sporting director to sign. No more fifth or sixth choices on the bench. In the minds of Milan’s directors, there’s never any urgency. By the middle of next week, there must be a new coach, and then they’ll have to immediately focus on contract renewals."
