Massimiliano Allegri is still without a team, but he certainly isn’t lacking admirers in Serie A, where three clubs have set their sights on him: Napoli, Inter, and Milan. The Azzurri are strongly targeting him for the post-Antonio Conte era — Conte is expected to return to the helm at Juventus — and they already have a two-year contract ready for him, with an option for a third year, at 6 million euros per season.

Inter, on the other hand, could turn to the Livorno-born coach if Simone Inzaghi were to be tempted by the massive offer coming from Saudi Arabia.
Allegri is also the first choice of Milan’s new sporting director, Igli Tare. But, as Il Giornale explains, “at the moment the Rossoneri are behind and risk not being able to make up lost ground for Allegri, given that De Laurentiis feels well-positioned in the race for the coach who has won 6 league titles in his career.”
For the club, there is still the option of Vincenzo Italiano, but he could soon drop off the Rossoneri’s list as well if he renews with Bologna. At that point, Milan would risk having to settle for second-tier options (Thiago Motta, Francesco Farioli, Patrick Vieira).
