Il Corriere dello Sport at the newsstand this morning headlines:
"Maignan’s discontent helps Chelsea."
It's no secret that the English club has set its sights on Mike Maignan, whose contract with Milan expires in a year. The Rossoneri, at the specific request of Max Allegri, would like to keep him, but the French goalkeeper is greatly displeased with how the renewal negotiations have been handled.

The Milan captain had reached a verbal agreement last December for an extension until 2029, with a salary of around 5 million euros including bonuses, but the call from the management to sign the contract never came.
In recent days, there have also been rumors of a possible swap between Maignan and Kepa Arrizabalaga, the Spanish goalkeeper born in 1994 owned by Chelsea, who played this season on loan at Bournemouth, along with a cash adjustment in Milan’s favor. However, the English club’s proposal does not appeal to the Rossoneri, whose priority remains keeping the Frenchman. But if the goalkeeper pushes to leave, then the asking price for the sale should be around 30 million euros.
