From this premise comes, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, the well-advanced negotiation — on a free transfer — for Kevin Pasalic, born in 2007: Milan has in fact submitted a proposal to sign the talented Bosnian central defender, whose contract expires in 15 days. The Rossoneri want to wrap up the deal quickly in order to beat the offer submitted by Roma in recent days.
Who is Kevin Pasalic?
He is an 18-year-old central defender who plays for IFK Norrköping U19, the youth team of the Swedish club whose first team competes in the Allsvenskan (the top Scandinavian league). He took his first steps in football in the youth sector of BK Olympic, a club based in Malmö, before moving to his current team in 2023. With an imposing physical frame — he stands at 1.95 meters — Pasalic uses his size to battle opposing forwards. Despite his granite-like strength, he combines his physical presence with strong game-reading ability, good technical skills, and uncommon talent for building up play from the back. His good defensive positioning allows him to break up attacking moves effectively.
From a strictly technical standpoint, Pasalic has already shown he possesses solid ball control. His pass completion rate is high, allowing play to be built up from the defense. However, like any promising player, there are areas for improvement: speed and acceleration are not his strongest traits, but his tactical awareness and dominance in aerial duels thanks to his height help compensate for a lack of exceptional pace.
