For years—more specifically, since the Scudetto victory in 2022—Rafael Leão has been constantly in the crosshairs of criticism, with something always being said about him, match after match. The Rossoneri number 10 and star left-winger has won one individual award with Milan (MVP of the 2022 season) and two team trophies (Serie A and Italian Super Cup), not to mention the countless goals and assists he has collected during his years at the AC Milan club.

And yet it’s never enough—he always seems to be expected to do more, and when he fails to prove it, everyone turns their back on him, including the club supporters. Fans, by the way, whom Rafa has never betrayed, showing that he cares about the shirt and the club that introduced him to the world, showing that he wants to stay at home, even in what will be a very complicated season and one from which a new start must be made. In spite of everything and everyone.

As the season is over, and while waiting for developments regarding the new additions which would make Rafael Leao thrive more and possibly aim for a new trophy, the AC Milan fans who are based in Canada could take some rest and look for different ways to unwind and maybe even strike some gold while at it. In fact, one way to do that is by checking out the online casino in Canada. The platform offers a great gaming experience: there are over 3,000 premium casino games from top developers to choose from with an extensive selection that caters to all types of players, from slots enthusiasts to live game lovers. Their secure banking options and 24/7 customer support also ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.

While the transfer market movements have begun, fans can also keep an eye on Rafael Leao’s name as it is constantly linked to big clubs that express interest, but from which there is no real intent—or at least no concrete offer on the table. Much has been said, but Bayern Munich and Barcelona seem to be the most credible ones. Still, the narrative built around him in the last month is that he, for Allegri and the new staff, will be the cornerstone of the Milan to come. Thus, the Rossoneri are trying to make it known that the forward is non-transferable—up to a certain point. If, for instance, an offer of €90 million were to arrive, it would be hard to say no, as relayed via Milan Press.

So what does "non-transferable" mean? Like Reijnders or Tonali?

“Non-transferable, but…” Maybe it’s time that, instead of thinking about what kind of offer might come in for your best player, the focus shifted to making the club's image a bit more solid on the outside. Because, at least according to the current narrative, it feels like we’re talking about a random team with no history and everything that comes with it—one that just happens to play in Serie A and somehow found itself in possession of great players. Now the talk is about Leão, but just like they talked about Reijnders for over a month, as they’ve always talked about Maignan and Theo, and many others.

If head coach Massimiliano Allegri really wants to restart from him, then the boy must be non-transferable, period. Because otherwise, you’re not willing to meet the coach’s requests—and at that point, why pay him so much if he can’t work the way he wants? This club is becoming less and less credible in the eyes of everyone, fans and outsiders alike, and a coach and sporting director chosen to "listen" to the fans won’t be enough to change the opinion of those looking in from the outside.

What were Rafael Leao's numbers in the 2024-2025 season with the Milan shirt?

The 26-year-old player, formerly of Sporting and Lille, made 50 appearances this season, which showcases his physical strength and stamina. In total, he clocked around 3500 minutes on the pitch across all competitions (Serie A, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana, and UEFA Champions League). He managed to score 12 goals while also providing 13 assists. While these are double digits in both categories, the fans still expect more attacking contribution from the Portuguese star especially in big matches and in the ones played at the San Siro home ground as well.
