Chelsea has not reactivated the track leading to Mike Maignan as a possible reinforcement for the goalkeeper position in recent hours and, at the moment, has no intention of doing so during this transfer window. This is what was reported by Fabrizio Romano, just a short while ago on his social channels.
In fact, contacts with Milan and with the agents of the French goalkeeper have been interrupted for twelve days. The London club confirms its trust in the goalkeepers currently in the squad and does not foresee further moves in that role, at least for now.
Among the reasons that, at least for now, have led Mike Maignan to remain at Milan, there is also the role of Massimiliano Allegri. The Rossoneri coach immediately indicated the French goalkeeper as one of the pillars on which to build the new team. An important signal, which contributed to cooling Chelsea’s interest.
