AC Milan’s consolidated financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2026 recorded a loss of €23.7 million, reversing the €3 million profit posted in the previous financial year. The result was largely affected by the club’s failure to qualify for European competitions, although the overall picture is more complex when considering player trading, growth in sponsorship revenue and financial support from the ownership. The accounts also show that the club’s net equity remains positive and confirm a €53 million payment made by RedBird in anticipation of a future capital increase.
The consolidated loss of €23.7 million represents a €26.7 million deterioration compared with the €3 million profit recorded in 2024/25. The value of production fell from €494.5 million to €464.6 million, a decrease of €29.9 million. The main factors behind the decline were audiovisual and media revenue, which dropped by €62.5 million, and matchday revenue, which fell by €13 million.
Failure to participate in European competitions had a direct impact on the accounts. The financial statements indicate that the decline in audiovisual revenue was mainly due to lower income from participation in UEFA competitions and other tournaments. Matchday revenue was also affected by the team’s performance during the season, which ended with a fifth-place finish in Serie A and elimination in the Coppa Italia round of 16.
The document approved by the Board of Directors explains that “the reduction in the value of production is mainly attributable to lower revenue from audiovisual and media rights, amounting to €62.5 million, lower matchday revenue of €13 million, and lower commercial revenue and royalties of €5.4 million”.
Several positive factors helped limit the deterioration. Revenue from player trading increased by €24.5 million, sponsorship revenue rose by €19.5 million, and other income and revenue grew by €7.6 million. In addition, production costs fell by €14.9 million. These were significant offsets, but they were not enough to neutralise the decline in revenue and the deterioration in financial management.
