Former AC Milan head coach Arrigo Sacchi had his say about the Superleague, and its impact on the fans in an interview granted to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Here are his words:
“Initially they might not go away, but over time they probably will. Today we are excited that Atalanta can compete by giving hope to everyone. It has no history, is budget-conscious, sells the best and is competitive. It is an example of positivity that goes beyond football. And football must belong to everyone, not a few”.
