Ardon Jashari plays for Milan. Perhaps not on the pitch yet, but on the transfer market as he pushes to make the move.
The player hopes to wear the Rossoneri shirt as soon as possible. He is already trying to convince Club Brugge to give the green light for his move to San Siro. And the Swiss midfielder, born in 2002, has indeed sent encouraging signals to director Igli Tare in recent days. The first was accepting, without too many demands, Milan’s offer of a five-year contract worth €2.8 million net per season. The second—and perhaps more important—was informing the Belgian club of his desire to move only to Milan. Through his agent, Jashari thanked Borussia Dortmund, a couple of English clubs, and Saudi side Al-Ittihad for their interest, but made it clear he prioritizes Milan. Now, Milan awaits the green light from Brugge.

The negotiation...
Last night, the Rossoneri took another step forward, presenting the Belgians with a new official offer which, including bonuses, totals around €35 million. From what has filtered out, Brugge had set €35 million as the threshold for a sale—but counting only the fixed part. In these cases, however, much depends on the nature of the bonuses—and on the player’s will. This second factor clearly tilts the balance in Milan’s favor. Jashari already sees himself at Milanello—or better yet, at San Siro, where he has only been as a fan (as a child, he watched a Milan vs Barcelona Champions League match from the third tier in 2011…) or as an opponent (last October 22, when he faced the Rossoneri with Brugge in the Champions League). Playing there in red and black would be a whole different story. How long will he have to wait to know whether his dream will come true? Any day could be the right one, as the feeling is this is the decisive week. The negotiation has been ongoing for some time, the gap has narrowed, and both sides now have limited room for maneuver. A “yes” or “no” is expected very soon.
Allegri is waiting...
Among those “pushing” to bring Jashari is Massimiliano Allegri. The coach—who will appear at Milanello on Friday—was not at yesterday’s meeting on Via Aldo Rossi with Tare, CEO Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada, and RedBird’s senior advisor, Zlatan Ibrahimović. For now, he is following everything from a distance, but in his mind, the Swiss midfielder is a priority to strengthen the midfield. It’s a department that has already seen the addition of Luka Modrić and could soon welcome Samuele Ricci, with negotiations with Torino in the final stretch. With these three moves, Max would consider his midfield complete, which would then only need to be trimmed of the surplus players like Adli, Pobega, and Bennacer. A separate chapter concerns Musah, for whom—beyond Napoli—two or three Premier League clubs have shown interest.
Other Milan moves
The Rossoneri club management is also considering other additions. In defense, the search for two full-backs is no secret. On the right, Guela Doué remains the favorite, though Rennes so far refuses to go below €20 million. On the left, the search is not yet complete, partly because they will first wait for Theo Hernández’s departure, with Al Hilal expected to formalize the deal after the Club World Cup. Speaking of exits, Malick Thiaw continues to resist a move to Como: if the German remains unconvinced and receives no better offers, Milan may keep the current group of center-backs. Finally, in attack: another striker will arrive alongside Giménez, but only later in August.
