Gabriele Gravina, the president of FIGC, has spoken about the Superleague, in Montreaux, where the UEFA Congress was held. Here are his words:
"Our task is not to defend the 'scudetti' but to defend the values of sport and respect the value of sporting competition: we cannot afford to overshadow the sacrifices of our extraordinary supply chain. I am not disappointed, I understand the difficulties. We have to start again, I will do everything to ensure that a line of innovation passes in terms of reform and cost control. Football belongs to the people, to the fans, to those who with sacrifices allow this world to remain standing".
