Ardon Jashari is a new AC Milan player!
The Swiss midfielder gave his first interview as a Rossonero to the club’s official channel. Here are his statements:
"It’s an amazing feeling to be here after the last weeks… I’ve finally arrived and I’m truly proud to be part of this historic club. I want to bring this Club and this team back where it belongs: winning titles, winning matches. For that, I will give everything.”

You made things clear right away: you only wanted Milan despite interest from many other clubs. Why this choice?
"When I saw that Milan were interested, I felt proud, but it was the project they presented to me and my family that convinced us. So when I decided I wanted to come to Milan, I gave my word. It’s always been a dream of mine since I was a kid. In my family and among my friends, we’ve always talked about Milan… Now that dream has come true.”
What kind of player are you? What are your strengths?
"I think I can bring a big impact of physicality, I will help the team offensively and defensively, and try to give the last pass so we can score many goals. I think those are my strengths, the things I can offer the team.”
Is there a Milan player from the past who inspired you? Jashari commented:
"Definitely Roberto Baggio and Andrea Pirlo. I liked how they played, they were incredibly strong technically. Their final passes, their creativity… Those are things I try to bring into my own game. So I’d say those two.”
You’ll be playing with Luka Modric…
"It's an amazing feeling that he's also part of this team and club. To start my era here with such an amazing player who achieved a lot of big things in football history can only help me. Of course, I want to learn a lot of things from him and listen to him and see how he is on the pitch but also off the pitch"
What goes through your mind when you look at your new Milan shirt?
"To be honest, it’s really hard to put into words. It’s an incredible feeling, it’s amazing that I get to be part of this club. What can I say? I want to play my part in bringing the Club back where it belongs. I’ll give everything for these colors to take Milan back to the top.”
Why the number 30 shirt? Jashari answered:
"I started with number 30 in Switzerland, at my youth club where I turned professional. I love Messi, so I chose it because he also started with that number. It brought me luck in Switzerland and in Belgium, so I wanted to keep it. I hope to make it a historic number.”
A message to Milan fans?
"Hi Rossoneri fans. Let’s go win!”
