According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there has been a slowdown in the negotiations between Milan and Young Boys for Zachary Athekame, a deal that had seemed close to completion. The Swiss club has raised its demands after receiving a €13 million offer from France for the young right-back.

After an initial 7 million euros bid and a second offer of 8 million euros plus bonuses, the Rossoneri further improved their proposal to a total of 10.5 million euros, which is a figure that is now no longer sufficient.
However, as La Gazzetta reports, the deal is not off, especially since Athekame only wants Milan. The RedBird-owned club had hoped to close the operation by the end of this week, but will now have to return to the negotiating table and present a new offer to secure Young Boys' approval.
