AC Milan are close to signing Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen. While there are no doubts about his technical qualities, concerns remain about his physical condition and the number of injuries he has suffered in his career.

“2025 covered in bandages: more games missed than goals scored with Bayer”
That is today’s headline from La Gazzetta dello Sport, which reports that in 2025 the Nigerian striker played 12 matches for the German side, scoring just three goals.
Boniface's struggles with injuries...
In his young career (he was born in 2000), Boniface has already suffered two cruciate ligament ruptures (in March 2019 and then in November 2020) while at Bodø/Glimt. In January 2024, after joining Leverkusen, he was sidelined for three months with a serious adductor injury. Then in November 2024, another muscle injury forced him to miss 12 matches and also hampered his performances in the following months.
