Head coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke to DAZN before Milan-Bologna in Serie A.
Here are his words:
What step forward do you want to see from the team today?
"The first step forward is to win the first home match. In the first two, even against Cremonese, we played well, but we made two mistakes on two crosses. Bologna has speed and technical quality, it will be a different match. We’ll need a solid defensive phase and to develop the attacking phase in the best way."

On Santiago Gimenez:
"He also did well in the previous games, even though two goals were disallowed. We all hope he scores tonight. He’s a good player, he’s Milan’s striker, and we’re all happy to have him."
Why is Christian Pulisic on the bench?
"Very simple: in my view, this is a game that needs to be played with these players. On the bench I have Nkunku, who has 25 minutes in him, and Pulisic, who has just returned from international duty. He can become an important substitution. He’s an important player in terms of finishing, he’s already scored two goals. Balentien is a young guy with good qualities. We also have Ricci, Athekame, Bartesaghi. Tonight, I have options on the bench."
How important is that 'vagabond' (Rabiot)? And why ‘vagabond’? Is it a Livornese expression?
"He’s a bit of a wanderer, yes (laughs). The transfer market? The club has done a good job, they’ve raised the level of arrivals. Tonight we need to be sharp and get the win against Bologna, which has become a solid presence in Serie A, and then keep building on the work we’re doing."
