Kyle Walker was Milan’s starting right-back for only a few months. He arrived in January on loan from Manchester City and was not signed permanently at the end of the season. Currently, he plies his trade for Premier League outfit Burnley FC.
"I was a club captain. And you're the first one in line when things aren't going really well at that time in the season. Should I have left looking back at it now? Probably no, I should have stood back stood next to my teammates and next to my friends and my family. But, for the first time in my career, probably, I was selfish. And I thought about myself, and I wanted to play football," he told Sky Sports UK.
"I don't say it is a bad reason but I wasn't happy on sitting on the bench. And getting a game here and there. And whenever I could, I felt that I still had points to prove, I felt that I could still play football at a higher level."

"When a club like AC Milan comes, I didn't think that I could turn it down, knowing that I was on the bench. When I came back in the summer and you probably have the time to reflect on it... But again, I don't regret it because I've always wanted to play abroad and I've always wanted to experience playing abroad. I experienced it, but I'm glad that I did the six months."
Walker added:
"I could have done probably a little bit better as well. But I think everyone associated with the club probably said that it was a season just to put behind us now, and they've set off pretty well. You know, I've still got friends there. So I'll look out for results."
