Roma’s number 18, Matias Soulé, revealed some behind-the-scenes stories about his former coach, now at Milan, Massimiliano Allegri:
"With Allegri, I didn’t play much, but I trained and he always kept me in mind. He taught me compactness, is that the word? He never wanted balls to get through. If you tried to carry the ball out from the back and it crossed the line, he’d lose his temper, even in training," he told 'Il Messaggero'.
He also spoke about the freedom Massimiliano Allegri gave him in attack:
"Allegri is also the kind of coach who gives you full freedom in the attacking phase. You can do what you’re best at, like the great coaches do, him, Ranieri, Di Francesco, Gasperini. If you do the defensive work well, the goal will come one way or another. The great coaches are like that."
Then came an anecdote:
"Is it true Allegri made me cut my hair? Yes. I had just returned from Argentina, it was winter there, and I had let my hair grow a bit and dyed it blond. The first day he didn’t say anything. The next day he got angry about something, I don’t remember what, and suddenly told me that if I didn’t cut my hair, I shouldn’t show up again. I was young, so after training I ran straight to the barber."
