The Olympic torch began its journey a few days ago on 26 November. It will travel from the cauldron in Olympia to Milan, to the San Siro stadium, where the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics will take place from 6 to 22 February between Milan and Cortina. This event will also affect the Serie A schedule, because Milan versus Como is set for that same weekend and the league wants to move the match to Australia.
While you wait for a final decision, the torch moves on and will start its Italian route on Thursday the 4th from Rome. Among the torchbearers scheduled from now until February, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was announced today. Many top athletes will take part in the relay, including the Swedish former striker who still lives in Milan.
