A season of ups and downs so far for Fikayo Tomori, now in his fifth year with Milan. The English defender was a key figure for Massimiliano Allegri’s Milan in the first part of the season, forming an almost impenetrable wall alongside Gabbia and Pavlovic.
Yes, because just before this recent period, marked by draws against Pisa and Sassuolo, Milan had one of the least beaten defenses in the league. This is also thanks, it must be said, to Tomori performing almost flawlessly in his new role as the right-sided center-back.
As mentioned, Tomori has performed well overall, aside from a few unlucky moments (such as the penalty conceded against Torino). So far this season, the former Chelsea defender has recorded two assists. The first was to Rafael Leao in the Coppa Italia against Bari, and the second, also to the Portuguese forward, came in the 1-0 home league win over Lazio.
