After three consecutive defeats, AC Milan Primavera returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Cagliari at the PUMA House of Football in their Primavera 1 Matchday 7 fixture. In Saturday’s early kick-off, goals from Anastasio in the first half and captain Cullotta after the break secured all three points for the Rossoneri.
Anastasio and Cullotta seal the win
Milan made a bright start, with Cullotta striking the crossbar with a powerful effort from the edge of the box in the fourth minute. The breakthrough arrived in the 13th minute through Anastasio, who pounced on a loose ball after the opposition goalkeeper misjudged his attempt to deal with a free-kick and fired it into the net.
The Rossoneri doubled their lead in the 56th minute from the penalty spot. Zanaga was brought down inside the box, resulting in a penalty and a red card for Nuvoli. Cullotta stepped up and made no mistake from the spot.
Milan Primavera climb the table
Thanks to Saturday’s victory, Giovanni Renna’s Milan Primavera have moved up to 10 points, provisionally joining the group chasing the play-off places. They currently sit eighth, level on points with Genoa and Lazio, both of whom have a game in hand, as relayed via Milan Press.
Next week, the Rossoneri will travel to face Fiorentina.
