After completing their attacking moves, Milan will work to also provide Massimiliano Allegri with a new central defender, who, as a reminder, must be experienced and versatile, therefore able to operate across all areas of the back line. For this reason, in recent hours the name of Kim Min-jae has reportedly come back into the spotlight, the 2023 Scudetto winner with Napoli and a player who is now on the fringes of Bayern Munich’s technical project.

The South Korean is a name that strongly appeals to both the environment and to Massimiliano Allegri, who could reinforce his defensive department with a profile that has already proven in Italy that he can, and knows how to, make the difference. The main obstacle, as usual, is the financial aspect, also because Kim earns an enormous salary in Bavaria. Only if Bayern were to contribute to his wages could Milan seriously think about bringing him back to Italy, possibly with a promise of a permanent move in the summer.
Another option: the name of a former Lazio player emerges
Given the obvious difficulties in reaching Kim Min-jae, the Rossoneri management’s list is by no means limited to the South Korean alone. For the defence, Milan are also reportedly monitoring the familiar names of Niklas Süle, Axel Disasi and Joe Gomez, with a new option emerging in the shape of Luiz Felipe. Sporting director Igli Tare knows the Italo-Brazilian very well, having been the one who brought him to Lazio in 2017. He would cost little and, having already played in Italy, would not need an adaptation period, which is why he could be a more than plausible solution to strengthen the defence, even if he still needs to recover some physical condition after a recent injury, as relayed via Milan News.
