The Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport in today’s print edition analyzes the contract situation of several Rossoneri players, including Luka Modric, who signed a one-year deal with AC Milan last summer. The club is already ready to extend his contract for another season (there is an option for automatic renewal until 2027), but the final decision is entirely in the Croatian’s hands.
What's Modric's situation at AC Milan like?
The former Real Madrid player is very happy with his experience at Milan; however, before deciding whether to stay for another year, he wants to carefully assess his motivation and physical condition at the end of the season.
It has been an important season in terms of statistics for Modrić. So far, he has scored one goal (the decisive one in the 1–0 home win against Bologna FC 1909) and provided three assists in the league. Modrić is also a key factor, especially for his teammates. The ball is always at his feet: on set pieces, in controlling possession, and in defensive phases. Luka is everywhere.
