Ardon Jashari is finally finding some consistency after the serious injury at the start of the season that had affected the first half of the year. The Swiss midfielder started for Como and came on cold against Parma following the injury Ruben Loftus-Cheek suffered after just a few minutes. The former Club Brugge player was interviewed today by Milan TV, the club’s dedicated channel. Here are all his statements.
On the start of the season:
"At the beginning it was definitely difficult because I arrived here after a long period of negotiations and then, after three or four weeks, the injury happened: it was an unfortunate event. Returning to the field maybe did not take too much time, but I think the other aspect of an injury is regaining the level at which I know I can play and with which I can help the team. I believe my goal, every time I am on the pitch, is to help the team and earn the trust of the coach as well as my teammates on the field, so they know what I can do for them and what my qualities are. I am very happy that in the last matches I have been able to show myself and I have had some good moments: I think it is important to continue like this."

On the assist for Leao against Como:
"I think it was a first step: as a number 6 or number 8 it is one of my objectives. I hope the next milestone will be to score a goal: the best thing would be to do it in front of the Rossoneri fans, but if it comes away from home I would still be happy to be able to help the team."
On the possibility of training and playing with Modric, Jashari said:
"Having Luka in the team, especially in the same position I play, is an incredible experience. For me, it is the first year at this level, in Italy, and at a big club like Milan: having a player like him beside me on the field and watching what he does is extraordinary. I think it is really important to learn as much as possible and try to take something: every player is different, but I think if you can learn the small details from a player who has won the Ballon d'Or it is fantastic. That is what I am trying to do."
On the last defeat and upcoming matches:
"Every game is important: we cannot think about Parma now because we have to look ahead. Surely we are disappointed not to have won that match, but this is football: you cannot win every match, it is sad, but the next game is Sunday and it will be another tough away match. We know how difficult the first match against Cremonese was: we need to change that result and last weekend’s. They play at home, and it is an early match: we must be prepared. The focus is always the same: trying to win matches, step by step. Now there is Cremonese, we must be focused and prepared to win together."
On the Champions League goal:
"Milan is a club that must be in the Champions League and every player knows that this is the biggest stage in European football. I think that both I and my teammates are frustrated to only watch it and not be part of it. We must all do everything possible together to reach a spot for Champions League qualification."
