AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri was interviewed by DAZN shortly before kickoff of the match between AC Milan and Inter Milan. Here are all of his comments:
Does Thuram’s absence change anything?
“Absolutely nothing changes. Bonny and Esposito are excellent players. It will be a great match to play, but a difficult one. They are very strong, and the standings prove it. We will see whether we can deliver a good performance and get a result.”
What kind of start would you like?
“We will try to start well. Hopefully it happens like it did in 2011 (he laughs, editor’s note). You have to stay realistic and keep the final objective in mind. The season does not end tonight. Tonight is a great chance, and obtaining a good result would be wonderful.”
How is Christian Pulisic doing? Allegri answered:
“I think his condition is improving. In the final part of the season he will be crucial for us. Just because a player goes two or three months without scoring does not mean he has lost his ability. He began the season with an injury and then faced a series of setbacks that did not allow him to reach his best form. But at the start he scored important goals.”
