The escort case in Milan continues to expand, bringing several names into the spotlight. Among the many facts, there are also those involving Serie A players including AC Milan's Rafael Leao.

The Portuguese player, however, is not having any of it, and has decided to immediately shut down these rumours that portray him as involved. Through his Instagram Stories, the Rossoneri number 10 has issued a statement:

"In recent days, my name, like that of other footballers, has appeared on websites, social media and newspapers in connection with an investigation by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office.

I want to clarify directly that I am completely unrelated to the facts under investigation. I am not involved and I have not committed any crime.

I ask everyone to not associate my name with this situation in an arbitrary or superficial manner, without regard for the truth and respect for private life. Before being footballers, we are people with a family and a reputation.

For this reason, I have already instructed my lawyer to take action in all appropriate forums against anyone who continues to spread false information or information damaging to my reputation."
