It is no mystery that Milan’s priority in the upcoming summer transfer window will be to sign a top-class centre-forward who can guarantee a significant number of goals. This season, the Rossoneri’s strikers have struggled considerably, particularly in the second half of the 2025–2026 Serie A season (only five goals scored so far by forwards in 15 matches).

Head coach Massimiliano Allegri has already begun planning the next transfer campaign with CEO Giorgio Furlani and sporting director Igli Tare, and he will have clearly provided the profile of the player he wants to entrust with the responsibility of leading Milan’s attack next season.
In recent weeks, several names have been linked with Milan, which has not yet made a final decision, as it first wants certainty about qualifying for the 2026–2027 Champions League.
The list, as relayed via Milan News, ranges from future free agents Robert Lewandowski and Dusan Vlahovic, to “dissatisfied” players such as Gonçalo Ramos and Alexander Sørloth, as well as Gabriel Jesus, and others already playing in Italy and therefore well acquainted with Serie A, such as Romelu Lukaku, Moise Kean, and Santiago Castro.
But how have Milan’s potential transfer targets performed so far this season?
Here are their numbers:
- Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona): 17 goals in 41 matches, one goal every 125 minutes.
