According to Massimiliano Allegri, Milan are now entering a genuine mini-league starting tonight: three matches against Atalanta, Genoa and Cagliari to secure Champions League qualification. The Rossoneri still have their fate in their own hands, thanks to a three-point lead over Roma and favourable head-to-head records, but they will need at least six points from the final three matchdays.
The coach is primarily asking for a mental response after the collapse in the second half of the season: courage, focus and enthusiasm. As for his future, he reiterates, with priority of course given to the Champions League: “I want to stay at Milan for as long as possible.”
