In the post-match of Genoa-Milan, a match won by the Rossoneri thanks to goals from Nkunku and Athekame, Adrien Rabiot spoke to Milan TV to comment on his own performance and that of his teammates:
Heavy match, well won, but the job is not finished
"Won well, we did what we’ve been missing recently: being compact, united. We can’t afford to make mistakes anymore, so we knew that. At the start it was a bit more difficult, they also wanted to do well, then we stayed compact, calm, and in the second half we created chances and took them. We could have scored even more, and now we prepare for Sunday (vs Cagliari at San Siro).”
Do you see a more mature team?
"Yes, you can see it today as well. We are playing for a lot in these two matches, but we are at Milan and we must have this pressure that pushes us to do well. Everyone did well, even those who have played less this year like Athekame, who scored an important goal. We need everyone, it will be the same on Sunday. This training camp helped us, we are doing well."
