This morning’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport carries this headline on the front page about the Champions League race, which will be decided this evening:
“No second chances. Milan, Roma, Como and Juve: only 2 cash in."
Four teams are competing for the final two remaining places: the Rossoneri and the Giallorossi have their fate in their own hands because, to finish the league in the top four, they simply need to beat Cagliari and Hellas Verona, two teams that no longer have anything left to play for in this Serie A season.
Fabregas’ side, meanwhile, will be away to Cremonese, who are deeply involved in the relegation battle, while the Bianconeri will face Torino in the derby.
Reaching the Champions League is important not only from a sporting perspective, but also financially, because it brings many millions into the clubs’ coffers.
