Having identified (most likely) in Ruben Amorim the right man from whom to restart on the bench, Milan must now resolve the issue concerning the club's management structure, given that several positions are still vacant. Among these is the role of technical director, a key figure in the future project of the Rossoneri.
Markus Krösche is certainly one of the leading candidates for this position. Born in 1980, he is currently the CEO of the sporting department at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he has done a great deal of work, and done it well, over the years. MilanNews.it spoke exclusively with BILD journalist Marc Schmidt about the German executive.
What kind of executive is Markus Krösche?
"Markus Krösche is an executive with very clear ideas when it comes to buying and selling players, but not only that. For example, he never keeps players in the squad whose contracts are about to expire; he either renews their contracts or sells them before entering the season that would lead to their expiry. Furthermore, he is not the type of executive who sacks a coach during the season. This year (with Toppmöller first and Riera afterwards) he made an exception to that rule, but over the years he has always shown trust in his coaches even when things were not going particularly well. Another principle of his work is buying young players and then selling them for huge profits. He usually does not sign players older than 27, although this year, because of the Champions League, he did so."
