Well-known journalist Matteo Moretto, speaking in a video on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, provided the following updates on Milan, which has chosen its new head coach and is also aiming to finalise the arrival of a new technical director soon:
"Milan has completed the deal for its head coach, who will 100% be Ruben Amorim. The signing will arrive in the coming hours. The Portuguese coach is not expected in Milan today, but he will nevertheless sign this contract in the next few hours. It will be a two-year deal plus an option for a third year. It is not a three-year contract, but 2+1. Milan has therefore resolved the coaching issue, but it still needs to define the chapter concerning the club's management structure.
"Let's talk about Markus Krosche: Milan planned Amorim's arrival together with the German, who gave his approval to the decision to entrust the Milan bench to the Portuguese coach. Milan and Krosche are already discussing documentation, and negotiations between the parties are at a very advanced stage. A verbal agreement already exists. In recent hours, Eintracht Frankfurt has presented its own version of events, but it remains to be seen how much of that is strategy and how much is reality. The German club is certainly irritated that certain reports have emerged. We will see how the situation develops from Eintracht's side, but between Milan and Krosche everything is settled. What remains is this compensation payment, which, according to what I know, will be much lower than the €7 million being discussed. It is a deal that Milan expects to conclude."
