Chaos has broken out again at Milan: after the official announcement of Ruben Amorim as the club’s new manager, Gerry Cardinale’s vision finally seemed to have found its path. The Portuguese coach on the bench with Markus Krösche in charge of the project as "head of football".

Eintracht Frankfurt’s resistance, however, is not allowing the Rossoneri to release the executive, who at present appears very far from Milan.

The Rossoneri club paradox on 18 June: recruitment reopened for the sporting management.

Result? As of 18 June 2026, Gerry Cardinale is forced to reopen the recruitment process for the search for the new Milan hierarchy, and it is an increasingly paradoxical situation: whoever arrives will not choose the coach, but will have to support the club’s decision, namely Amorim. The world turned upside down. And furthermore, we are now about ten days away from the official start of the summer transfer window (it begins on 29 June), but the question is who is managing Milan’s operations? It is an increasingly paradoxical situation at this moment. So paradoxical and critical that the outlook can only be entirely negative: should we already consider this season lost?

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri fans are waiting eagerly for updates. But, at the same time, they can choose to relieve some stress thanks to the Aviator game, with a fast-paced nature, and user-friendliness, it is one of the top games in India and the rest of the world.

Analysis of the ownership crisis: the risks after Markus Krösche:

Of course, the time for answers is far away and we will have to wait for the harsh judgement of the pitch, but if we analyse the current situation it is difficult to be positive.

The original plan: the project could have made sense with Krösche’s arrival, given that it was the German who endorsed the decision to appoint Amorim as coach. A duo that could have worked (always starting late) from a shared foundation and philosophy.

The risk of a second choice: with the halt to the German’s arrival, AC Milan finds itself in chaos with no clear way out: whoever arrives at this stage will at least be a second choice, and there is a serious risk that they will not come with maximum motivation.

Tight timing: it will be almost impossible, with so little time available, to make all the right decisions for AC Milan’s future, regardless of the profile chosen.

The arrival of Markus Krosche as head of Milan’s technical department and Timmo Hardung as sporting director had seemed imminent, but their club, Eintracht Frankfurt, has blocked their departure. The German side were not pleased with Milan’s approach and the fact that they had not been informed about the agreement reached by the two executives with the club based on Via Aldo Rossi.

And the initial question remains: who is managing Milan's transfer market?

At the moment the answer is no one, and while other Italian clubs are moving as is normal at this time of year, the Rossoneri club is standing still, with the risk of losing potential targets and worsening the atmosphere around the team. Perhaps the best solution at this point is to rely on Amorim’s decisions, as he is the only fixed point at AC Milan, awaiting at least the arrival of one executive.

And now?

AC Milan will have to resume its search. It remains to be seen whether they will turn to a profile already contacted in recent weeks such as Devin Ozek and Ramon Planes, or whether they will pursue a new target, such as José Boto of Flamengo. Another scenario, however, cannot be ruled out, namely Zlatan Ibrahimović’s temptation to promote his friend Jovan Kirovski, currently an executive at Milan Futuro.

One clarification is needed: the American could not take on the role of sporting director because last year, he did not complete the course at the University of Salento and therefore did not sit the exam at Coverciano.
