If the file labelled "Milan transfer departures" were opened, the very first name on the list would undoubtedly be Rafael Leão. From both a financial and a media standpoint, negotiating the Portuguese star's sale is expected to be the club's most complicated task, especially as there is currently nothing concrete to work on. Even so, Leão will not be the only player leaving Milan. Several others also have one foot out of the door, as Tuttosport reports today.
Leão update: no Tottenham, no offers
As mentioned, the biggest question mark surrounds Rafael Leão. That his time at Milan is coming to an end now seems almost certain. However, the timing and the terms of any departure remain unclear, as there are currently no concrete negotiations taking place.
The recent rumours linking him with Tottenham Hotspur, managed by Roberto De Zerbi and featuring Sandro Tonali, have cooled significantly over the past few hours. The North London club are reportedly exploring alternative options for the left-wing position. More broadly, there are no formal offers on the table from any club.
There is interest from Saudi Arabia, but Leão's priority is a move to either the Premier League or La Liga. As things stand, however, there have been no significant developments.
Leão not the only player heading for the exit
Rafael Leão will not be the only player to leave Milan this summer. Following the arrivals of Ramos and Gila, the club must now focus on outgoing transfers, both to streamline the squad and generate funds.
Aside from Leão, whose situation is considered a separate case, Milan are prepared to part ways with Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, both of whom could bring in valuable transfer fees.
Santiago Giménez could also help boost the club's finances on paper, but his ankle injury, which is expected to keep him out for around two months, has created uncertainty. Selling the Mexican striker while he is sidelined with an ongoing injury is likely to prove difficult.
Also considered surplus to requirements are Pervis Estupiñán and David Odogu, along with returning loanees Filippo Terracciano and Warren Bondo.
The situations involving Samuele Ricci and Ardon Jashari are more complicated and will depend on how events unfold. Although several clubs have expressed interest in both players, Rúben Amorim wants to assess them before any decision is made.
