The friendly, which ended in a 7-0 victory for the first team, was played over two 45-minute halves. However, the line-up was completely changed between the two periods, with both teams using a 3-4-2-1 formation.

"In the first half, Kostić and Ossola found the net, with the Montenegrin deployed as an attacking midfielder behind Nkunku, largely due to the absence of recognised strikers, most notably Ramos and Giménez, during this stage of pre-season preparations. In midfield, Ricci and Musah were tested together, while Athekame and Bartesaghi operated as wing-backs.
"In the second half, the first team added five more goals, scored by Chukwueze, Pavlović, Camarda, Loftus-Cheek and Fofana. New signing Mario Gila featured only after the break and was deployed as the central defender, with Pavlović on the left and Odogu on the right."

"Camarda's goal, after coming on in the second half, was one of the standout positives of the game. Chukwueze, meanwhile, spent most of the match playing as a right-sided wing-back, and it was from that position that he scored an excellent curling effort."
