On his YouTube channel, Carlo Pellegatti discussed the first return to Milanello of the international players who were involved in the World Cup, namely Pervis Estupiñán, and his possible departure to Aston Villa.
These were his words:
“The first of the international players to arrive at Milanello will be Estupiñán. I told you that the rumours suggesting a slowdown in the negotiations seemed to me like a strategic move by Cardinale to try to raise the price. In fact, we are receiving reports from England, from the Aston Villa side, that talks are continuing and that a conclusion should not be far away. We will see.
However, there is no doubt that Estupiñán was supposed to be the first one to return to Milan. We will see if he arrives on the 24th, or rather whether he will leave with the rest of the team for the tour in Asia or head to Birmingham, because Aston Villa are the team from Birmingham.”
