AC Milan have already strengthened their defence with two new signings: Mario Gila from Lazio and Sankhoun Diawara from Troyes. However, they may not be the only additions to the Rossoneri backline, as much will depend on the future of Fikayo Tomori. The English defender's contract expires in 2027, and the club do not appear willing to offer him a renewal.
According to this morning's edition of 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', the former Chelsea centre-back remains available on the transfer market, and if he leaves, Milan could look to bring in another high-profile replacement.
The club's preferred target remains Gonçalo Inácio, the 2001-born Sporting CP defender whom Ruben Amorim knows extremely well, having coached him during his time in charge of the Portuguese club.
