According to Claudio Raimondi on SportMediaset, Galatasaray submitted a new offer to AC Milan overnight for Rafael Leão. After previously putting forward a bid worth €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses, the Turkish club have now increased their proposal to €40 million plus a further €5 million in bonuses. However, Milan have rejected this latest offer as well, with the Rossoneri demanding another increase to reach at least €50 million.
Galatasaray must also convince the player himself, as Leão has not yet given the green light to the move. The Turkish champions are prepared to offer him a salary of €9 million per year plus €3 million in bonuses, compared to his current Milan deal, which is worth €5 million net per season plus €2 million in bonuses.
Leão is still hoping to receive an offer from a Premier League club in the coming weeks, with Chelsea and Manchester United among the sides mentioned. Galatasaray, though, are not willing to wait much longer and are aiming to complete the deal within the next 48 hours. Otherwise, they will abandon their pursuit of the Portuguese forward and switch their focus to another target, with Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli named as a possible alternative.
