For this reason, a face-to-face meeting between owner Gerry Cardinale and head coach Ruben Amorim is needed very soon to assess the situation and plan the final weeks of the transfer window. In recent days, the Portuguese coach had announced that he would make decisions regarding some members of the Milan squad after the friendly against Chelsea, and that is exactly what will happen.

Zachary Athekame, for example, will join Lyon on loan, while Youssouf Fofana and Fikayo Tomori are also on the way out, having both been unused in the latest friendly against Chelsea. Rafael Leao's situation also remains a major talking point.
