AC Milan officially announced yesterday the arrival of Sankhoun Diawara, the third permanent signing of the summer, from Troyes.
Diawara’s schedule
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the French centre-back will join his new teammates in Perth this evening for the pre-season tour.
Starting tomorrow, he will begin training, although it remains to be seen whether he will immediately work with the group or, like players returning from international duty, follow an individual training programme at first.
What will be Diawara's role at AC Milan?
The 2006-born defender has been signed for the first team and not for Milan Futuro. Based on the initial indications, he is expected to be the backup option for Strahinja Pavlovic on the left side of the defence, although he has played in several different roles throughout his career.
In the coming days, Ruben Amorim will test him in various positions before deciding where to deploy him ahead of the new season.
